Maybe some do now, but read the history of the Irish when they immigrated from Ireland to the US. They were treated like the blacks if not worse during their time.

im not a big fan of all of u to tell u the truth! i've met a good number of racist irishman! well, they were irish-american! i dont know if u are! they called me a "beaner and they said to go back to mexico", eventough i was born here! i understand that some irish-americans dislike immigrants from other countries! but i dont understand why! do they not know that their ancestors came to the U.S. as immigrants and poor as dirt like some of the immigrants now? the dont know their own history it seems like to me! but every race has bad people so dont think i dislike all the irish! good day!

As an irish person i have first hand knowledge of being irish abroad and not everybody loves us but many do because our reputation goes before us as chatty, good mannered, generous, fun loving society of priest, poets and scholars.

Because they drink lots and know how to party.
Some people in uk (a small minority) don't like the irish because of the troubles and Historically immigration from ireland to uk caused people to lose their jobs.
