Anxiety is when you are panicked. You are over-reacting. You are afraid
Depression is when everything becomes slow, you don't have energy. There's no point in anything.
Good Stress is about having adrenaline in your blood which helps you to focus on your task and putting all your resources to complete it.
Bad Stress is a long term state where you body excrete bad stress hormones like cortisol. These have damaging effect to your whole physical and mental health. This situation can lead to anxiety and/or depression.
It is very common that anxiety and depression go hand in hand.

Minor Anxiety is just that, a minor problem that worries you but that you can still normally function with. It is a disorder if you somehow cannot function as you should with the level of anxiety you have. Stress: there is distress (negative stress, losing your job, failing a test, car trouble) and Eustress (positive stress, like getting a job promotion or inheriting a forturne, or getting a good grade a school), but Distress is the stress that makes you feel down and upset. We all get "down" so mionor depression is normal as no one's perfect. However, if you cannot "snap" out of it---"Major depression involves a severely depressed mood (for 2 weeks or more) and loss of interest or pleasure in usual activities accompanied by sleep and appetite disturbances, agitation or lack of energy, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, decreased sex drive, inability to concentrate, and perhaps thoughts of suicide."

I haven't been diagnosed if that's what you mean, but I would have to say...well, I don't know. Here are some of my "symptoms." -I never have any energy -I think life is pointless and agonizing -I hardly ever feel like doing anything besides staying in and watching tv -I hate myself and the stupid things that I say (this might be included) -I feel like people hate me as well -I feel like a burden to the others I'm around I don't know if I'd say that I "attempted suicide" or not, but I have had many thoughts about it, mostly when I was around 9 or 10- before or after my mother tried killing herself I'm not sure. I don't think I was serious about it, I just wanted to think I was I guess- looking through the knives in our kitchen when no one was up or even home for that matter. I wasn't looking for attention from anyone else because I never told anyone up until last year. I guess I was just curious to see if I could do it, which I couldn't. But quiet frankly, I couldn't and wouldn't commit suicide, because that is something I find to be terribly weak. I still think about it yes, but I don't know, maybe that's normal.

Stress is anyything that puts pressure on you, good or bad. Anxiety is usually aligned with "worrying". Depression is essentially EVERYTHING about you slowing down to a crawl; your mood, cognitive functions, and physical energy. Depression and anxiety DO each tend to have a little of the other sometimes though.

Anxiety and Depression are two ends of the same emotion.
Anxiety is the "urgent" version of it.
Depression is the "chronic" version
Its like the difference between a secret smile and laughter.
Stess CAUSES both.
