It was a stupid experiment.

In a real space flight they aren't going to throw together people who don't know each other. There will be a long training period first, possibly for years, and everyone will be quite comfortable with each other.

Things are going to happen when you put different sex's together in a confine setting for any length of time.
Control should be a main factor of such an experiment where they are in close contact with each other.
