You bet I do. If my ride was broken down I would want someone to stop and help me.
Usually if the car is broken down on the road face it, it needs a shop not me. But one day I was on my way to Wyoming and passed this van that was broken down. I went up to the next exit (about 10 miles) turned around and went to the next exit (about 7 miles) turned back around and then stopped in front of them, never stop behind anyone, cause if someone gets hit by a passing car it will be them first.
The couple in the van had been sitting there for about 2 hours in the heat waiting for a Highway Patrol or anyone to stop and help them, the couple was in their 70's.
Their lower water hose was broken. There was not a thing I could do but let them sit in my truck in the air, give them ice cold bottle water and wait for the tow truck I called to come get the van.
Since they were older they could not get into the tow truck so I followed the tow truck back down into Ft. Collins. They were told it would be Monday before they could get up and running (this was Saturday afternoon) so I took them to a motel room by a Denny's.
That's all I could do for them. But you know what they say...You should always help out others, you never know when God will send an angel your way to see if you will help him.

Depends where we are. If its in the middle of the highway, I might if its in broad daylight. But normally I won't at night time. If its a secluded area or a quiet road and the person in trouble is really in trouble, I might. At this day and age, its hard to be generous with assistance, you might just get robbed or your car carnapped.

I would love to, but no I don't. Being a small female, I just don't think it's a good idea. They could be pretending and then throw me in their car. It's just too bad the world is so f'd up that we're afraid to help each other!!!

It was common back in the '60's and '70's. I stopped to help many times. Today? NO WAY.

My knowledge of mechanics is limited, but I will stop if it looks like something minor like needing a jump or a push to the nearest gas station.

I pull over or slow down so I can offer the use of my cell to call
for help. If it's a female w/ kids I'd give them a lift. And if it's any
elderly I'd wait with until help arrived.

yes, even if I have no idea about cars, I would offer to give them a ride or use my cell to call someone who knows about cars.
