I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Low birth control pills I haven't taken then since June. I received my normal cycle july 2nd, however July 27th I came on again ?? I have noticed since I have been off the pill my cycle last 3 days oppose to 5. I have been off my cycle now today making 4 days and I am still cramping in the lower abdomen area. Could I be pregnant? If not, what could possibly be wrong?

It can take a few months/cycles for your body to adjust to not having the additional hormones in your system.... The additional cramps could just be part of that adjustment. If you are having a period and you don't display other signs of being pregnant then I wouldn't worry... Try taking Advil or Pamprin and rest on a heating pad. If this doesn't make the cramps less intense then I would contact your doctor just to make sure there isn't something else going on.... I experienced similar symptoms when I stopped taking the pill last year.

The pill puts your body into an abnormal cycle as does coming off of it. My guess it is just your body going through the changes of no langer having the hormone. Since you had a period July 27 (as long as it was normal flow, not reffering to legnth of time but to amount and consistency) then you would only be a few days pregnant. Rarely does symtoms appear so early in pregnancy. I doubt you are. But wait untill August 27. If you still have not had your period test. But the symptoms you describe are normal for just coming off the pill as well as possible for preganancy. Good Luck

Pregnancy doesn't usually cause cramps but it may be due to the fact that you have come off the pill. This can muck up your cycle, gives you heavier (or lighter) periods for a while and creates stronger stomach cramps but go to the doc's just to be sure. Good luck.

well if u have had sex then its possible ur pregnant, but dont panic just yet! from what u have said, I dont think its likely and the cramps could be a sign that ur period is due. if i were u i would either buy a pregnancy test or go 2 the doctor and get one done. all u will do is worry and possibly ur worrying about nothing.
good luck :)

there could be a lot of things wrong from aggravated fallopean tubes, to chlamydia, to endometreosis, to eptopic pregnancy, to other nightmares I'm not even going to mention.

Go see your GP, who should either diagnose you and sort the problem or refer you to a gynochologist.

do it now.

many things can go wrong that are easily preventable that can cause you to be sterile FOREVER!!!
