I think Mel Gibson should be en tiled to his own opinion. I really don't think I have met a single person in my lifetime that has not in one way shape or form not made some kind of slight towards a different race. They may say they are not racist, but people lash out when they are angry. It's HUMAN nature. I know if I made a comment on the street it wouldn't make the news, so I think Mel is fine.

This freedom of speech that the Americans have written in their constitution is exactly what the governments are trying to remove. I think Mel Gibson had the right to say whatever he wanted at the time, although his outbust proberbly didn't do him any favours in the situation and he has to live with the backlash from that. The real point is M.Gibson had the right then but in the near future it seems this right of free opinion will be removed. See link below, paranoia? I don't think so.http://www.infowars.com/print/Secret_societies/in_your_face.htm

As demonstrated by these answers, this is a racist world full of petty, ignorant people. Mel Gibson is just one of many.

Mel hates Jews, he's never made any secret of this.

Why can't people hate jews? What's wrong with that? Do we all have to pretend that we love everybody?

I don't love everybody.
I don't like cheese-flavored ice cream.

It should be ok to hate someone - provided you don't hurt anyone.

Mel is ok...he's a good Aussie bloke.

Nobody is exempt and it's not acceptable. I don't really care what they do to him....and his apology isn't sincere because if it wasn't publicized he wouldn't have apologized. He is what he is...a bigot.

No, because he shouldn't get away with saying things like he did and then apologizing to get himself of it.

He just told the truth when he was drunken, is that so hard to comprehend? Maybe he is just scared now that everyone knows now how he feel/think.

If it was sincere, yes. If he was trying to do damage control, then no.
