try friends reunited. if he isn't on there (check old workplaces/schools etc) then you can put a message on searching for him so people can contact you.
also try the electrol roll for that area - see if he is still around.

no i do not but they have a way to search for people on the internet but i think you have to pay to get on that site..i do not know exactly where it is but i have seen it..
