I don't care for the guy and never have. I certainly think he set a sorry example.
Because he is a celebrity and is in the media, it gives anti- gay people someone to point a finger at and say,"Yeah, look how those gay people act."
Know what I mean?

Compulsive sexual behavior is a problem that George needs to address and be treated for.
This problem doesn't make him a "friend," or "foe."
It makes him a person with a problem. He is not the only one. I have a problem with him claiming what he was doing was ok because it has been going on for a very long time. Making excuses for bad behavior doesn't help solve the problem.
I know a celebrity can't really make a difference the way you are suggesting. HIS bad choices do not take away from MY good choices. MY bad choices do not reflect on HIS good choices.
We are individuals. He can't give me any more of a bad name that I create for myself.

But see, the problem is that yes a lot of straight famous people do drugs and put themselves out in bad spotlight, but what do they need a good name for? If one gay person goes out and does something horrible, it could somewhat cripple a part of the community, mainly because of the fact we are not at the same level as most straight people. Some still see homosexuality as gross and bad and an abomination. Some people still equate one with the whole.

Not friend, not foe, but definitely HO! Seriously, he lives his own life and has to deal with the consequences. It's terrifying to think that everything a person does will be viewed as representative of an entire group of people. Isn't that where stereotypes come from?

George Micheal is a independent person- and so I do not feel that he is giving 'gays' a bad name, as nobody should feel responsible for his own actions. The man is a friend: in the 80's he said that we should "choose life"- at least he is living up to what he preached...(the man is doing what makes him happy).

I think that as as homosexual we shoud support him no matter what he does.We need to be united at all times.even when the times are bad. The last thing we need is disloyalty and to join in on the hating on poor George Michael when he is having a bad time..
P.s he is still sooo cute

I feel sorry for the poor guy to be honest. Its only because he is famous, but he obviously has these tendancies that lead him to want to do these various sex acts - hell - how many millions of people are doing the same and even more outragous acts than him?? How many people do you see on a saturday night clearly off their face with drugs? Leave the poor guy be, if its all consenting adults who want the same thing, whats the problem?

George Michael is giving HIMSELF a bad name. I am not the fool running around passing out in my car, slurping up guys in a bathroom and a park.......etc.
His bad rep is his and his alone. He lost my support a long time back.

George Michael gives a bad name just to himself! Although that is sadly what you will see in some gay bars( that is drags...and staff) However that doesn't apply for all gays as it wouldn't apply for all heterosexuals if we take Kate Moss for example...

Don't include me in "us gays" but can't the guy control himself? I personally wouldn't support anyone who acted like an as* just because of their sexual preference, skin color, or any other reason... Do gays want to continue to be known for sexual promiscuity and drug use? If not, then I suggest not supporting someone who is like that for no more reason than "they're gay".... make sense?
