The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.
The Church specifically says, "They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."
With love in Christ.

No. The act of engaging in sexual relations, however is sinful. Read 1 Corinthians 6:9-18, any sexual immorality is sinful. Romans 1:24-27, is a direct condemnation of such sexual activities. If you feel this life style will lead you into sin, then you need to ask God for help. First, you must have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Read Romans Chapters 3-5.

NO
Sin is a changing thing depending on what is the latest from prominent religion or ruling government at the time. Am example is in Salem they once upon a time killed women and children because others said they sinned because of supposed witchcraft. Today that is no longer a sin.
Being Gay is not fickle like that, it is from the inside of us and a real feeling. No way would I consider to accept the labels put on this personal choice by others who disagree.

The original meaning of gay is happy. Being happy is not a sin if the happiness reflects love, compassion , caring...all those positive attributes we would like to prevail in our global community. Being a good person is more important than one's sexuality, race, religion etc. Being gay has nothing to do with sin, being evil, hurtful, unloving, unforgiving...all those negative characteristics is what sin is about.

gosh i can't believe how narrow minded some answers can be.
i do not believe its a sin, i feel that god is good and great. and he would want us to love and be loved.
if gay means to love someone of the same sex, then i do not think its wrong because loving someone or something else can never be too wrong.

Sin is defined as separation from god and his laws governing our relationship to him..gods law says adultery is a sin fornication is a sin.. masterbation is a sin ..anything outside of a marriage relationship as defined by God(one Man & One Woman-one time)for life of either person.. pretty harsh by todays standards ..but the bible says "wide is the way and narrow is the path to righteousness" .impurities have to be confessed as sin,all unsanctioned activity by God is impure.

being a gay is not a sin...
sin is something wrongfully done...
did you do something to become gay?
it is being who you are...
but as a gay if you did something wrong then what you did is a sin...

Faith is a rational decision, you're aware about his decision. Be gay is not a decision. You are born to be a gay, so, isn't a sin.
