I am in love with the book. i wanted to know when the movie was made....

i have never read the book but the movie is great i love that movie. there is an older make of the movie but about 10 years ago there was a remake. it was just as good as the first.

I am not sure when the original movie was made but June Alison played Jo and Elizabeth Taylor played Amy. Lousia Alcott herself even starred in the movie except I am not sure if she played the mother or Aunt March

I loved Little Women! I've also read "Little Men" and "Jo's Boys"
There have been at least 3 versions of this movie, the first in 1933 which stared Katharine Hepburn as Jo. The version with June Allyson came out in 1949 and then the Winona Rider version came out in 1994

Yes, I loved it too.
It is so tender...it´s the kind of book you want to save for your children to read also.....
and you get carried away with the characters as if they were friends or next door neighbors.....
I think there were many movies made of this story...
there´s a version from my country wihch has turned into a soap opera type of mini series.....
It´s a classic so it will always be around.
I´ve heard there´s a Little Men version also, but I haven´t read it...

yes I have. It's a lovely book. The latest movie was brought out in 1994 and starred Wynona Ryder. The movie has been done before and I think Katherine Hepburn played Jo.

I love that book too, I think the film was made about 10 years or so ago, (well the last version of it anyway) It has Winona Ryder and Claire Danes in it.

I thought the book was okay, but kind of boring. Certain parts were very interesting, but it was slow.
