The movie has been made several times. 1932 with Katherine Hepburn, 1949 with Mary Astor, and 1994 with Winona Ryder, Claire Danes and Kirsten Dunst.

There have been two movies produced of the book "Little Women". One starred a young Elizabeth Taylor and the other came out in the last couple of years. I'm thinking the first was in 40's or 50's.

I have read the book and love it as well. The first version of the movie that I saw was 1933 w/ Katherine Hepburn but check www.imdb.com I think the 1933 version was the first movie. but the first play was 1917

I saw the movie. I don't remember when the movie was made....the one with Susan Sarandon and Kirsten Dundst. It was the early to mid 90's.

yes the book is great but i never watched the movie...after you read a book and then watch the movie ..the movie is always a let down..

i never read it,but i heard it was amazing
the best known 'little women' movie was made in 1994, but this movie was made many times. the best known one is the first one
