My husband lived in Beirut for 2 years, he said it is one of his favourite places in the world, just because awful things happen on a daily basis, doesn't mean there is no quality of life and people are not fiercely proud of their country the same as most people elsewhere

Because that is where their families have been born and lived for all their lives and they want to continue that tradition. They have learnt how to live with all the conflicts. but i do feel sorry for all the lebanese people who are getting innocently killed by israeli missiles.

1)They were born, brought up there & are attached to their place.
2)Are not so affluent as to migrate & settle wherever they can go.
3)If migrating to other countries was so easy,every man would be in US or UK or Aus. today.

It seems you haven't travelled widely...
U will amazed to see at what places ppl leave...... U will run for 1000km and then see two huts.... then again 500km blank........
