You are kidding!!! thank god it was a dummy, but sadly you here about people being killed on them. Its weird cos last night i dreamt i was on the PlayStation ride at Blackpool and the bar wasnt locked so i shot out of the top and then woke up before i hit the ground. Think i will take that as a warning!!!!!!

Coasterman has a great answer. That is simply not true. Rollercoasters have actually been deemed foolproof. Restraints dont' just pop open, and coaster trains don't just derail. Every possible scenario is taken into affect when rides are designed.
"Statistically, roller coasters are very safe. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that 134 park guests required hospitalization in 2001 and that fatalities related to amusement rides average two per year." ~ sited from - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roller_coaster

EXTREMELY unlikely, for one it is extremely unlikely for a restraint to come loose and Oblivion features a safety belt that attaches to the restraint so if it does come loose the belt holds the over-the-shoulder restraint in place enough to keep you (or a test dummy in). And another thing, the manufacturer, Bolliger and Mabillard, has NEVER had a fatality (or incident with a dummy falling off) due to the actual roller coaster. That did not happen.
