I am from Romania and I could tell you much about Romania but if there is one thing I have learned is that Romania is full of big sports fans, that the country is constantly changing, and that inside every Romanian burns the soul of a warrior. Few know this but Romanians are survivors, we fought against empires, our language survived even though our countries were occupied by others. Most of us fight for our country and I believe that we still fight with the courage and skill of the Dacy(our ancestors who fought against the Roman Empire), intelligence, patriotism and survival instincts of our Roman Legacy.

I know the black sea coast is supposed to be nice. I know that the areas Transylvania and Wallachia are of historic importance. I know that it was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire for some 200 years and it achieved independence in it's current form in 1918 after the Empire was broken up (as stipulated in the treaty of Versailles). I know that the two big football teams are (or at least were) Steaua Bucharest and Dynamo Bucharest (do Dynamo still exist?). I know that there is a level of corruption higher than that elsewhere in Europe. I know that the main religions are Catholicism and Orthodoxy. I know there is a large Gypsy population which was heavily persecuted during the Nazi occupation. I know that Ceaucescu was a self-serving dictator who installed his family members in the highest positions. I know that Romania produces some good wine.

I know some other things, but they are too non-specific.
