Fine you £1000. You don't have to pay it if you don't watch TV... think that black and white TVs are free too.
I love the licence fee! Travelled quite extensively in Europe and America and the amount of adverts the countries I visited had were horrendous. Totally ruined the experience of watching the program.
For example watching football, the world cup specifically, is so good on the BBC because you get all of the half time analysis and pre/post game analysis and views etc because they are not cutting away to adverts all the time like satellite TV and sky.
Also the shows on the BBC are longer because you actually get the full hour... If its American they have to cut so much! eg when the BBC showed the Simpson's think it only took up a 20min slot at 6 because of all the adverts whereas watching it on channel 4 or Sky One takes the full 30minutes which is a joke and ruins it.

ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, local commercial radio are all good examples of what we would get if we don't pay the licence fee.
Sure the Beeb do put on a lot of crap, but they do occasionally get bollocked for it and have to improve their standards.
Never forget, the TV channels only show the stuff that we want to watch. So next time you watch Celebrity Dick Waving, you are responsible for it being on.
16 million watched the world cup final on the BBC compared to 2.7 million on ITV. Could that be something to do with the adverts?
Think on, would you really want adverts on every channel and have the advertisers dictating the type and content of the programmes. Sounds like hell to me.
My advise is complain all you want, but pay up.

BBC is a well known mass media of the world, they are popular in media research and communication. If the situation happens, it actually helps to BBC to create a fresh news and broadcast. They have the capacity to withstand and generate money and employment. They are historically popularly surviving in the competitive world, because they have thorough knowledge of the human mind and its needs. I am shure, the situation should not happend to the BBC or any other UK media because they are the realists.

If you are caught without a valid TV licence here in UK
Yo can be fined £1000
or
The Bailiffs can seize the equivalent
amount of your goods+expenses
+ your TV(s) can be confiscated
You may wind up in prison ,if you refuse to pay the fine .
and will then have a criminal record
All in all it is better to go pay your TV licence and be legal.

yes it would be a good idea but the problem with this country is no-one stands up for themselves, all we do in this country is right letters to The Sun newspaper or Points of View, the nearest we had was the poll tax which was 3 women wearing tweed saying"we don't think this is a fair tax" and 300 other looting Dorothy Perkins, i mean if every person in this country said we are not paying the fee yes they could fine us but how long would it take and they have no room in prisons now let alone for every single person in the country.
THINK ABOUT IT

Right on! People of Britain don't stand up for what they believe in. When we do, who can stop us? Look at what we did with petrol two years ago! We should all stop paying for TV licenses and income tax. It's damn obvious that we're being blood sucked by fat cats like the royals... and that fat sh*t John Prescott. Imagine how many more bollockticians like him there are that take food away from our babies mouths.

Everybody would be issued with fines.
Even so. It would cause major problems and the possible collapse of the BBC.
