LIKE DISTANCE, POSSIBILITY OF LIFE OR POSSIBLE SETTLEMENT BY HUMAN BEINGS?

Jupiter is actually a gas giant and any possible solid surface within Jupiter would be subject to such pressure that it would be impossible to sustain life.

So there is no possibility of settlement there by humans I'm afraid.

This is probably your best source. Distance from the Earth will vary with time, since both planets are in orbit around the sun. If you're thinking of the distance you might have to travel to get there would be considerably longer since the Sun's gravitational field dictates an elliptical path. The shortest possible time would be six months. Although Jupiter is uninhabitable, the moons might not be. You'd have to install heating of course.

Jupiter facts and figures:

5th planet from the sun
Largest in size: 142,984 km across or 11.2 times wider than Earth
Heaviest: 1.9 x 10 ^ 24 tonnes or 318 times the mass of Earth. wow!
Shortest day: 9 hours and 55 minutes 30 seconds
Most moons: 60
No solid surface, just gas that gets denser the further in you go. Just layer after layer of cloud.
Cold: average -150C at the cloud tops
Strongest gravity: 2.5g
No oxygen in the air, just hydrogen and helium with a bit of methane

Humans could not settle Jupiter itself unless you want to live your live in a sealed balloon or airship and feel 2 1/2 times as heavy!

The 4 biggest moons of Jupiter could be settled, but they have no air and are really cold. Also Jupiter has a titanic magnetic field and radiation belts. The moons orbit within the radiation so you would get fried really quick!

Rather stay on Earth, myself!

No, there is no information concerning the planet Jupiter. Sorry.

doubt there would ever be a human settlement on jupiter as it's mainly gas, very small rock core. Maybe one of it's moons can be inhabited though.
