Absolutely! I've been panicing about EVERYTHING during my entire pregnancy...I worry about the baby's health, about whether or not I will bond propererly with her, about whether or not I will be able to breastfeed...you name it. It's totally natural to freak out a bit. These hormones that are running wild are no joke...they are the real thing and they reek havack on our emotions.
Just wanted to let your friend know that she's not alone.

I'm sure every woman feels anxiety during her pregnancy - after all, she is responsible for bringing a new life into the world, and all the worries which that entails. Your friend should try and learn to relax, though - as anxiety can pass to the baby. Suggest that she talks to other expectant mothers or her midwife, if she's really concerned - she'll soon realise that she's not alone and that some of her fears are unfounded. Easy for me to say as both my kids are here with me! Wish her good luck.

I'm having terrible panic attacks during my pregnancy. I used to have them years ago but they have come back with a vengeance since I've been pregnant. I worry about a lot of things - I'm an emetophobic (phobia of vomiting) so I get panicky whenever I feel sick (very often in this pregnancy) I also worry about money (I've been off sick from work) and about giving birth and these things make me really panicky. I think its quite normal to get anxious in pregnancy, even if you're not normally an anxious person because its such a huge life change.

Lots of things are normal during pregnancy. I started crying at work at 7 weeks because my printer wouldn't work!! And about 20-25 weeks pregnant was in tears because Roy Cropper was being given a hard time in Corrie!!
As long as they stay mild and she's not having trouble breathing with them etc she should be fine, but should mention it at her first midwife appointment just so she's aware.
Good luck to her! x

I was moody, irritable and had anxiety attacks during my pregnancy, so it's pretty normal.
What you should watch out for is that there is a lot of evidence now that anxiety / mild depression during pregnancy can be a precursor to post-natal depression. Your friend might like to mention her anxiety attacks to her midwife so she can be monitored more closely after she's had the baby.

I had anxiety attacks before becoming pregnant which I had largely under control. My first pregnancy I was fine, but now in my second pregnancy it's been a lot harder to control my attacks, and I've had them more frequently. No reason. They just seem to come and go.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.
Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

Come on! That's normal! It always happens!~ Your friend is too young, and that's why she's not relaxed on her state right now... But other than that, changes that you see in her are definitely normal...
