Hello, I am a poor student and would love people to tell me their money saving (or even making) tips. My bills are included in my rent so I'm ok on electricity and water saving ideas (but if you want to post those ideas go ahead)

I'm working part time in an office and part time in a cafe and going into my second term of my Masters in sept, and just want to have a cheap but fun summer!!

Please let me know if you have any ideas on entertainment etc and what ever you else you clever people know!

Thank you!

Be very strict with yourself for 2 weeks and do not spend any cash what so ever except for your bills and food, then see how much money you have saved! spend the money buying different and interesting things from second hand shops, car boot sales and anywhere else that comes to mind, then list them on EBay as descriptive and as professional as you can and it is almost certain that when all your things are sold you will be in profit. look at stuff on EBay that sells well and try to get that kind of stuff! then keep reinvesting your money this way, you won't get rich quick but it can be fun selling and you will come out in profit. Good luck

Hang at the park with your pals 0$, peep the babes at the park 0$ a free chance to socialize with man and women outside of a bar while doing activities like rollerblading, joining a drum circle, singing, practicing a guitar, playing volley ball or perhaps doing some other physical activity like swimming in a public area is priceless.

For savings, we should have extra money after all expenses. Therefor whatever is received as salary, out of that a minimum of atleast 10% must be saved duly controlling the expenses. The 10% shall be saved first in SB a/c for a year in a reputed bank. Out of this, after one year, 50% accrued money should be deposited in fixed deposits and balance to improve the living style. This exercise when carried out over year after year, there would be big balance in the Bank, when it is to invested.

Buy cheaper versions of what you would normally buy. RIde a bike or walk whenever you can saves on petrol/bus fares and also gym membership! Cut down on alcohol, partying and somking (if you do any of these things!).
