If you are a cook, you do not lay the eggs and prepare an omelet. You never handle you own matters, when it comes to profession. If a doctor becomes a lunatic, he has to necessarily be treated by another psychiatrist. Possession of mere knowledge of cure itself is not a passport for healthiness; when required, he also needs attention of another professional.

It is always a good idea for all therapists, and counsellors and psychologists to have regular sessions with other counsellors.

The very fact that many psychologists counsellors and therapists hear so many sad things all the time they need to be able to offload some of the stuff they hear and experience.

Think of it this way, if you were a therapist and had to listen to other peoples' issues all day, wouldn't you want someone to talk to?

For this reason, it is unethical for all members in this feild to avoid therapy themselves. You have to remain sane in order to help others.

well over 90% they might not see them regularly but everyone needs a sounding board or some advice sometimes, and also they might need help with a patients problems so they see a therapist as a mentor

Are you a therapist yourself? I think anyone with a problem sees a therapist.

Councillors have to see a councillor as part of their training. I'm not sure how that works through the different varieties.

All the ones I've ever been to, quite a few, said they do. They have a lot to deal with and need to unload, too.

I don't think that any of them would because it would be to hard to evaluate a person that knows all the psych tests and procedures.
