i'm getting the words "next time that star shoots across the sky" done, well i want to. i'm thinking about getting it around my ankle, around elbow - does that hurt as much as people say?, or that crease on the opposite side of the elbow. what do you think?

The elbow: Its going to hurt alot because your tatooing it right on your bone, ankle is okayish

Hello...that is going to hurt very badly. There isn't much fat in those places, mostly bone. That is what makes it so painful. I have 2 tattoos and my husband has 6. If you ever decide to get a tattoo on your lower back be careful because if you get pregnant and you decide to have an epidural during labor they might not give you one because they will have to go through your tattoo to put it into your back. That can cause damage because it will cause ink to get into your spine. I have tats on my chest over my heart and on my back over my shoulder blade. They didn't hurt too bad at all. Good luck.

I've heard that the more bony an area is, the more it hurts.
Other than that, get a tattoo wherever you feel comfortable showing it off! Just remember that tattoos are expensive to have put on and taken off!

Don't write on yourself, people see tattoo's and the first thing that comes into their mind is "TATTOO'D MORON" ! now this is NOT how I feel, but unfortunately thats how people think but, it's your body, do what you like, just think it through well first, many people with tattoo's (older) will tell you "Stupidest thing that I've ever done"

I agree, boney areas are major pain. I guess its worth it if you really want it,. just make sure u Really want it.
