There should be a right attitude to work. There should be commitment to any work, that we are called upon/destined to do. We need to tell ourselves-" Look. This work has been entrusted to us. We must do it in the best possible manner." Whatever be the work, there are nuances to be mastered and problems to tackled." If you feel this is too philosophical a stuff, to give the desired relief, well, the only option is for you to quit it and look for a job that will interest you, better.

Not enjoying ones job seems to be the norm especially in the States. I have had many jobs over the years and always more or less enjoyed them all. Some were jobs I really did not like but while doing them I prepared myself to do something else and in that I was just biding time and earning a living. Most of my career was very enjoyable because I finally figured out what I was good at and and liked at the same time so made myself qualified to do what I liked the most. I would suggest you take time to really figure out what your talents are and then do what ever is necessary to have that be what earns you the kind of money you would like to have. We never get too old to learn new things and should keep learning as many professions do end and if a person is not prepared then it is the poor house.

I am. If you are not as you yourself admit you are obviously not the happy man in the Bible who has found his work. But if the biblical dictum were to be made generally applicable there would be hardly any happy people around. Most of them would be like you sick of their work. I do not follow this choosiness about work. Had it been left to Jesus he may perhaps asked God our father to excuse him and let him enjoy his life in the company of Mary of Magdalene. Not that he did not but he also enjoyed the work entrusted to him by his father which involved his final crusifixation. I am not prepared to believe that he was frustrated (The anguished cry he is supposed to have uttered on the cross calling his father and confronting him with the questionwhether He had forgotten him) is so very uncharacteristic of him that it was obviously an interpolation.) The work which we find for ourselves or which is entrusted to us cannot be that impossible.
So if he not only discharged it but did not even bear any animosity towards those who crusified him when he appealed to god, his father, from the cross to forgive them since they did not know what they have done or were doing. If you cannot bring about that equinaumity its OK but at least do not detest the mission entrusted to you.Amen.

I enjoy my work. I don't enjoy the hour drive to get to my work, especially in the winter, but I really like my job.
