Come on , talking through your hat. Here are your 500 WMDs:
As for the weapons touted by the two lawmakers, intelligence officials said they were made before the 1991 Gulf War and were likely intended for use in Iraq's war against Iran in the 1980s.
They were found in small numbers in various places and contained degraded mustard or sarin nerve agents. They were not in condition to be used as designed, and there was no evidence Iraq manufactured chemical munitions after 1991.
How do I know? Fox News told me.
"Offering the official administration response to Fox News, a senior Defense Department official pointed out that the chemical weapons were not in usable conditions," the Fox News Web site story said the next day. The official told Fox News the munitions "are not the WMDs this country and the rest of the world believed Iraq had, and not the WMDs for which this country went to war."
In a story by the Associated Press a day after the lawmakers' press conference, David Kay, who was in charge of the U.S. weapons hunt in Iraq from 2003 to early 2004, said the current condition of the sarin nerve agent produced in the 1980s "is less toxic than most things that Americans have under their kitchen sink at this point."
Bush wisely avoided comment!

hi,
yes, he not only lied during the state of the union address,
he lied in a press confrence saying the CIA cleared the info when it did not.
theres more, but Ask your self this if all the info was wrong about iraq, if the WMD's weren't found, why did George Tennent recieve a presidential medal of freedom.
all of your questions are answered in this PBS documentary. Every educated adult should see it. and talk about it. Interviews with the CIA, explains who Curve Ball was, and why Powells speech to the UN was highly questionable at the time he gave it.......

1) dispells everyone agreed myth
2) dispells the congress had the same info myth
3) dispells many other myths in the right wing echo chamber, they repeat things over and over until the truth no longer matters...
please watch.
Another thing, you associate the 500 canstiters of mustard gas as the WMD's. If these were the WMD's the Bush administartion would gloat, would parade the find.
instead they were degraded cansisters that couldn't be used and purchased before 91.your saying 2000 U.S lives were given for these cansisters.
The president said nuclear, mushroom cloud the smoking gun a mushroom cloud, yellow cake uranium, alluminum tubes....only for one thing. powell showed a drawing of mobile lab not a photo a drawing.....come on.
more info you should read regarding WMD's

Yes then Clinton bombed them took them out......problem solved. Besides the weapons inspectors were pulled out by Bush in 2003, they should have done thier job, seriously using Clinton to justify another mans or presidents thoughts and actions is kinda of a weak argument.

The invasion of Iraq was based on one of the Biggest Lies in history: that Iraq possessed WMD's that could be used against the United States. The clearest lie was Bush's January 2003 State of the Union address, when he declared: "Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa" - a claim that had been thoroughly discredited by U.S. intelligence. Of course, this was just the tip of the iceberg of Bush's lies about Iraq. Yet Bush still refuses to admit Iraq had no WMD's, saying "what's the difference" between Iraq's actual possession of WMD's and "the possibility that he could move to acquire those weapons." And he has spent $700 million of taxpayer dollars to perpetuate the charade of a hunt for WMD's that he knows do not exist.

I don't like Bush at all, but I don't think he lied intentionally. I believe he was misinformed, and lacks the mental capacity to make his own informed decisions, and rushed into the war before getting his facts straight, and has a personal agenda. I fully realize that terrorism must be stopped, but the Iraqi war is dragging out just like the Viet Nam conflict, but I hope that the end result achieves the objective.
