Definetly. My lover died last year. I put up a brave front watching him die of cancer. When it was "over" I had to move back home. My father and sister don't seem to realize the effect it had on me. If I mention his name they change the subject, as if they didn't know him - We were together for 23 years and it wasn't a secret. While he was wasting away I wasn't eating properly, sleeping about 2 hours a night - and drinking heavily, I hoped the booze would put me to sleep. I was wrong. I am now at home batteling lawyers and bank loans that he created. he died in testate and without insurance. Some days I walk around feeling like a zombie. Dad and sis just say "get over it". I was never an overweight person (6'1" 190 lbs). Now I am still 6'1'' but l70 lbs. and stooped over- I feel ashamed although I no reason to. I can't even see myself going to a job interview. Low self-esteem? No question. Depression? yes. Suicide is becoming an option.

Yes, did you know be-littling and picking on people is a form of low self-esteem too?
Calling people names and such is low self-esteem.
Self esteem and self respect are put into the same catagory, you must have respect for other people before you can self respect. Then you have self esteem and self respect :)

Yeah, I have read up on it.
Theres more to it but I dont feel like typing more and you prolly dont feel like reading more lol

just type in Self Respect and Self Esteem into Google or something and you will find tons of stuff!!

Have a nice Evening! :)

Yes. As well as vice versa. :(

Speaking specifically to depression, it's really nasty and really crazy how much its own symptoms continue the cycle and keep it hanging around.
