This is really cool, my friends and I did this and we all had according to the chart, I am pregnant again and apparently having a boy. You will get a kick out of it. It's an ancient Chinese Gender chart.

Every thing is 50:50 only. Nothing can be said with any amount of certainty. However, try the following:

i) Increased Frequency of co habitation;
ii) Shallow penetration;
iii) The female needs to be acidic, so that the male sex chromosomes do not survive.
iv) Avoid union on the possible day of egg formation.

The idea is the female sex chromosomes are great survivors, even in adverse, acidic conditions in the ovary. The female sex chromosomes may survive more days than the male sex chromosomes and there is a possibility that if some chromosomes from the sperm remain in the ovary till ovulation, that chromosome will enter the egg.

This is what I read from a research published a decade ago. I am a lay-man and not a doctor.

More than any thing else, I would suggest that you pray fervently before God asking for a girl child and whatever results thereafter, accept it as the gift of God.

Although lots of theories are told, as a professional, there is no definte way to pre-determine the sex of the prospective foetus!! Some say bout the timings, some put forth a theory of probability, douching after the coitus with mild alkali, lying down flat for specific time after coitus!!! All these are on the belief that Y chromosome bearing sperms are fast but fragile where as X chromosome ones are a little more sluggish and move slowly.The only fair try is doing an In vitro Fertlization where the donor sperm is segregated and more X-sperms are used for fertlization!!!!

One thing I am certain about. I would say pray for one, but the truth is that when you and your husband is going through the process of making a baby (having sex), you are not thinking about God. You are too busy fantasizing about your mate. Prayer during love-making is somewhat misplaced. However, you can go to a Chinese store and ask for a calendar.

This is scientific but not guaranteed.Females are slightly more acidic than males so douche with vinegar or lemon juice and it will kill off the male sperm or at least the weaker ones. Don't do this if you will have an abortion if unsuccessful, it just increases your chances. Good luck.

Try before ovulation for a girl *I just counted my days from my last period*

Try after ovulation for a boy.

My husband and I tried for a girl and it worked for us. We have a happy healthy baby girl~

well there are different myths and methods of having a girl you could have the doctor divide your sperm into boy sperm and girl sperm, or you can do it a couple of days before ovulation so the girl sperm have a chance to get first round draft pick or just do it and don't care.

You can do artificial insemination as well. They spin and seperate the eggs and inject them back in. It's not cheap, but it is cheaper than IVF.
