can i be pregnant i missed my period i have really bad headaches my back hurts alot sometimes. i thow up and i don't like the smell of certain foods. i took a pregnancy test but it came out negative. and i don't seem t be getting any bigger.

Home pregnancy tests are not always accurate, you MAY be pregnant as these are typical signs of pregnancy, but it may also be other health issues. Go to a doctor, and get an exam - if you do not have an OBGYN go to http://www.plannedparenthood.org look for a clinic in your area they will exam you free of cost, or they can get you in contact with a clinc in your area that will be able to help you out.

Do your breasts hurt? If they never did until just lately, you are pregnant. Push down right above the bone in your crotch under your belly button. If it hurts and you don't get your period soon, yes you are pregnant. Are you always hungry or tired? Look at your crotch in a mirror. If it is purplish you are pregnant. My doctor took one look and knew I was knocked up. You could have taken a defective test or taken the test too early after you missed your period. Take your next test in the morning before you have peed at all after at least a few hours sleep. Oh and if you keep throwing up and you get your period do it anyway. I bled on a pregnancy test that was positive. THERE IS NEVER A FALSE POSITIVE!!! I also had what I thought was a full period with my son, thought I was three months pregnant but I was really eight weeks pregnant. Make sure you know before you drink alcohol again.
Oh that thing about three brands??? Totally untrue. I found out on a dollar store test the first time I took it and the pregnancy hormone is the only way it is positive. My doctor said so.
I have had two babies and one miscarriage in case you are wondering.
I second the back pain concern. But you could just have a tipped uterus. Pain in one side that is sharp is an even better indicator of Ectopic pregnancy and this is a life threatening condition that will kill you without emergency surgery.
Make sure you are taking vitamins with Folic Acid or Folate listed on the label because they prevent birth defects.

how long has it been since your last period? sometimes we miss periods due to stress or illness. if it is more than 3 months, then you'd better do the preggie test again in a few day's time. sometimes, if you test it too early (when your hormone levels are not that high yet), the test can be negative.
as for not getting bigger (if you are really pregnant) - you will probably not show until you are 3 or 4 months especially if you are young and this is your first pregnancy.
a more certain way to confirm your pregnancy would be to visit a gynae. good luck!

headaches and backaches would not be a sign. Store bought pregnancy test are not always accurate. Call your doctor to make sure it is not an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy in tubes) back ache is a sure sign. Sorry dont mean to scare you!!

if you have only missed one period its unlikely you would already be having so many symptoms so go to the Dr. and get a blood test the HCG levels will be easier to detect there. The symptoms of pregnancy are so broad and differ for each woman.

When you crave for a child, in some cases, you will show all signs of pregnancy( pseudo-pregnancy) but need not necessarily be pregnant . See a gynae and let her have a look! Dont jump into conclusion yourself!!

Wait a few days and take it again. If it comes out negative go to the doctor anyway, you are obviously not well.

My best advice would be to go to a doctor. I read somewhere of this condition that women get (cant recall what it is called) that has the same conditions as being pregnant. Ask you doc about it.

did you have sex? the test will be effective after 14 days because on the 14th day of the embryo it will became a blastocysts were human chorionic gonadotropin (hcg) increases & when you pee some will be mixed w/urine & pregnancy test kit reads for Hcg
