Some churches actually do that.
On the one hand there are churches that have helpful workshops for members and people in the community and on the other hand you have people like Creflo and Tammy Dollar who have a questionable motive for preaching constantly about money and success.

If you want that kind of thing taught in your own church, you may have to spearhead the project. Once you do, you may find many people thanking you as they had a need for the information.

Churches in this country are controlled by the government, primarily thru the IRS. They can't teach anything not approved by the IRS or they will lose their charity status. Those few churches that have gone against the rules and lost their charity status have all gone bully up (bankrupt) within a year.

My question then is, what does that say about the "Christians" attending these Government run churches?

Because the Church is where you go to get Spiritual advice. Not Fiscal advice.

By the way - you do know that the church, aren't very good at doing business, why do you think they are getting sued so often and losing their cases in the courts?

They are a bad investment, have you consider being a krishna instead?

Churches are always passing around the basket, and asking for more money! What turned me off, is when the catholic church started sending someone to your home and was asking for a yearly some of money! And, when I got a divorce, they actually said if I paid enough, I could belong back in the church without being excommunicated! God would never think of doing those things! Churches are in it for the money! I can pray anywhere and God will listen, and I give to the charities of my choices, and help my friends and neighbors when they need help, that's what its all about, NOT MONEY!!

Reality check.

They have businessess. However, Christian churches, particulary the Roman Catholic Church makes sure that all profit goes directly the mother church in Rome. The Roman Catholic Church gives only religious dogma to its followers and take their followers' money in return. As for the others, I'll let the followers of their beliefs find out for themselves.

I dont go to church but I do know that the churches are one of the wealthest organizations there are. Probably 30 % of the offerings go to church stuff and the rest goes into investments. Like Microsoft. One of microsofts biggest investors is a certain church. But then again they probably dont want to share their secrets.
