On my next appointment when I am 37 weeks I am going to ask the Dr. to induce me since I have been having problems walking and doing everyday house chores and trying to take care of my son who is almost three and trying to litter train kittens. On my last appt the Dr. told me he thinks I am also going to be having a big baby. What do you think about it. My first was born at 37 wks and 4 days.

I know with my first he was almost 7 lbs. So far the doctor called for an ultrasound this week and the baby is already in position and from what the ultrasound it is showing that this baby is almost 8 lbs.
I do know he said he wanted be to carry it to 38 weeks when i was going to ask to be induced. Plus he is worried about my iron level to.

Doctors love inducing women, they don't get called out at three in the morning that way. That being said, I thought life would be better for me taking care of my 18mo old daughter once I had my son. WRONG! I nursed him and was tired all the time but I had a toddler demanding my attention who woke up at night sometimes too. That baby doesn't need diapers, feedings, colic gas drops, car rides to put it to sleep, until it comes out. And they told me my son would be big and my daughter was normal, but she was small and he was normal. They don't have all the biometrics down on that yet. And when you have that baby you will have tons of problems walking and doing chores-healing from my son was awful, I was torn badly. I was induced for gestational diabetes and the epidural didn't work properly and the pain is much worse during an induction. My doctor was calling for a local when I finally crowned...and screamed...I think I said "uhh" with my first. Be careful...

I was induced at 38 weeks, docs usually won't induce before that point because of development issues for the baby. You should be having a hard time getting around, and remember last time around you didn't have a toddler to deal with. You should try to get some help from family and friends until you deliver or until your doc decides to induce...not likely during your 37th week. Just try to take it easy when you can. Good luck and let us know what your doc says.

I was induced at 40 weeks because they said I was going to have a big baby. I regret it very much. I would have rather he came on his own. He was almost 9 lbs, but they said he should have been 11. Ultrasounds lie sometimes.
I think your doctor will consider the weight of the baby, and if it's ready to come out.
Good luck!

As long as the DR advises you to do so there is probably no problem buttttttttttttttt usually baby knows best and will show signs when he/she is ready you are on your 2nd pregnancy so it's likely you will go early anyways I personally would wait an induced labor can pose more complications then a naturally induced one. I know it's so uncomfortable though go for a walk if you can and have sex not to be stupid but sperm helps soften the uters and helps promote labor.. Good luck I know you and your Dr. will make the right decision for you and your baby.

Honestly, I think it's kind of stupid. I have been induced twice. I was in labor 36 hours the first time and 26 hours the second time. It wasn't all fun and games. I was also 6 days overdue with my first and 4 days over with my second. Just be patient. The baby will come eventually.

Many are depressing, some in excruciating discomfort and why that's, i'm going to under no circumstances understand. It does not harm to ask. My wager is that the wellbeing care expert will wait till 38 weeks in case you're in suffering. by using then, in basic terms 5% of toddlers have undeveloped lungs. Doing it previously could require an amnio to be certain if the toddlers lungs are stepped forward. you have my sympathy. whilst i exchange into pregnant, I wasn't uncomfortable in any respect and walked MILES the day in the previous I went into exertions purely with the aid of fact I had no longer something to realize this went to the library by using subway.

you should check with the doc if your baby is ready to make his appearance (e.g. how big he is etc). your doc will also consider other factors such as your health, your body's stress level etc,
my son was induced at 37 weeks because he "pooped" while inside the womb. he was big though - 3.3kg.

You can ask him, but the baby will come when it's ready. You wouldn't want it born too soon, when it's not ready. Your doctor will be able to access your situation and tell you what's best for this baby.

it would be classed as a social induction if there is no medical reason for it, such as overdue, blood pressure problems (pre-eclampsia) and the majority of doctors will not perform a social induction.
But hey, it can't hurt to ask and you never know, he may think there are valid medical reasons for it.

Give away the kittens and walk a lot. Aspire for convenience in your most dreadful hour! at least!
