They do have a relation. Emotions are the logical end of a person's perception about an event, in a personal way. Emotions are subjective. As long as certain events are viewed subjectively and the experiences are internalised, the logical outcome of such perception and experiences is emotion. Our intellect, which works through logic and other other IQ mechanisms, always works based on the lessons it had learnt from various emotional situations, in the past. In other words, man cannot use his intellect and emotions in two separate water-tight compartments. If they are two distinct entities, how come that two persons, of the same IQ, tend to arrive at conclusions which are diametrically different from each other. The reason partly lies in the emotional quotient.

A person can have an emotional attachment or disinclination to logic. Therefore, the relation is relative to the individual. That said, the nature of the relation cannot be predicted.
However, it is generally true that emotional beings are less attached to logic, while logical beings are emotionally attracted to logic.

It's not true. Although logic is formed conciously, and most emotions sub-conciously, they do share something in common; or more specifically, something they are both related to. For example, u love (emotion) ur parents because u r deeply emotional attached to them, and u treat them good, being filial (logic). Despite that, people prone to observe more of the contrast in these 2 aspects, such as 'Studying is vital for the future (logic), but I the job I want doesn't require studying. (emotion)' This is where they clash sometimes. Nonetheless, the answer for your question is "No, it's not true."

Yes and No. Yes because, logic involves a series of studies and evaluations, whereas emotions are spontaneous (you can't go through any type of process to find what you will be feeling tomorrow). No because, some logics involve instincts like, if a light switch was flicked up the light would come on, and some emotions involve instincts like, if someone told someone they looked like a moose than there's no doubt they would become angry.

Definetly No. Logic and emotions have mutual relation. It is your logic that decides your emotion in a particular situation.

No, actually logic may be the guardian of emotions. For example, when we truly care for someone or love them - friend or partner - we may all have different ideas about what love is, but most of us would agree on many things that love ISN'T. For example, if your partner is cheating on you, or abusing you in any way as a self-centered power trip, logic will often step in and say, "wait a minute -- given the definition of love, that type of behavior just ain't right".

logic can be clouded by emotion and as a result you can do irrational and unwise things. it's best to let the thinking be done with your brain and the feeling be done with your heart. mixing the two is never good.

not exactly... by itself, logic partakes on risk / choices and emotion is on instinct. both are decisions bridge on certain situations. there are occasions, one goes for logic, but in dire emergency, our instincts kicks in.
sometimes, logic depends on instincts... if a decision is reach, you go for your gut feeling...
in instincts, you move accordingly without disruption. you go ahead defying logic, defying the odds because you feel it's right.
so logic, in certain times, uses instincts while instincts doesn't need any logic (in fact against logic). logic is directly related to instincts while instincts is indirectly related to logic. meaning, the more logic one uses, the more instincts are use... and the higher one's intincts are, the more lesser the logic....
