how many answers for the sudoku?

for each and every sudoku there exist only one unique answer or more than one answers?

Always thought that it was one until I came across a puzzle with 2 possible solutions! Will post it when I locate it.

There is supposed to only be one answer per puzzle.

I am not sure the rules of logic actually allow more than one answer - although an individual's practice may suggest that multiple answers can exist for a puzzle.
