Let it revel in it while it can, it won't be there in a few decades.
It's hundreds of trillions in debt, and it's economy is completely reliant on foreign oil, meaning that as oil prices rise your economy is taking a bashing. It also means that when it runs out its economy could even collapse. What also won't help is that when its economy begins to stutter, people will ask for those trillions of dollars back, hastening the fall of the economy, in a vicious circle.
Even if hey manage to keep themselves up, which is very possible, America won't be as powerful as it is now, and up and coming China WILL overtake it in power and importance.

The USA is basically the richest, most powerful country in the world, and it didn't get that with just luck. That came from a lot of sweat, blood, and hard work; so of course we deserve to have a position of leadership in the world. The beauty of leadership is that it is held by the party that deserves it the most, because no one will follow someone that doesn't deserve it, therefore removing the party from its position.

World leadership is not an elected position. It comes from doing things more rightly more often than anyone else. Yes, the USA earned its leadership position, and deserves to have it. If you doubt that, consider this:
At the end of World War II, Europe was in ruins, Africa and Asia were devastated as well. The USA had just won a hard fought war that they never wanted to enter. It took a major act of aggression (pearl harbor) to get the USA into that war, but when the war was over, the USA had the biggest, most powerful military on earth, was the only nation that had nuclear weapons, and had a powerful military presence in every strategic point on the globe. If any nation was ever in a position to conquer and dominate the world, the USA was that nation.
Any other great power throughout history, having been in the same type of position, would have exercised that power. But what did the USA do?
1) The USA voluntarily dismantled it's military down to about 1/8th of its strength.
2) The USA created the Marshall Plan, whereby the citizens of the USA would pay to rebuild the nations who had been our enemies.
3) The USA continued to develop nuclear weapons as a deterrent, but in the 60 years since, have shown restraint and have NEVER used such weapons, even against nations who have attacked us and our allies time and again.
In 1939, Germany had the most military power, but it lost its leadership because it was run by evil people who believed in the principles of evolution, and followed them to their logical conclusion.
The Soviet Union, a land of far greater human and natural resources than the USA ever had, placed the management of those resources in the hands of evolutionists. The result was the murder of 10 million of their own citizens by their leaders, poverty, and ultimately the downfall of the government.
The USA was founded by Christians, so free enterprise, democracy and liberty allowed the USA to prosper. Nations lined up to trade with the USA because everyone who did also prospered. That is what gave the USA its leadership position.
In the last 50 years or so, millions of Americans have been raised to believe in evolution. As a result, they now abort a million babies per year. The evolutionists push pornography, homosexuality, prostitution, child-sex, and a host of other self-destructing behaviors. Is it any wonder the Muslims hate America?
In 1831, the famous statesman Alexis de Tocqueville came to America seeking to discover the secret to the USA's greatness. Here is what he found, "I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers - and it was not there . . . in her fertile fields and boundless forests and it was not there . . . in her rich mines and her vast world commerce - and it was not there . . . in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution - and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great."
As more Americans are indoctrinated in the government shcools to believe in evolution, the farther they get from goodness. I fear very soon, America will lose its greatness, and when that happens, the light on the hill will grow dim, and the darkness which lead so many to slaughter in the name evolution such as Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc, will rule the world unchecked. Then you will see slaughter on a scale that will make the tens of millions that were murdered in the name of evolution during the 20th century pale in comparison.

Being a 'world leader' is different than being a 'world bully'!
I think the United States needs to concentrate on cleaning up its own backyard, before worrying too much about everyone else's!

If another country can become as powerful as the US, then they're welcome to join the super-power status that the US currently has (probably China will take over in the next few decades), just as the British and French were the major powers before WW1 occurred.
