You need to ask yourself if spitting back would solve anything.

My father is a Vietnam Veteran, and I would say that he and any veteran has earned the right to do many things because they have put their life in harm's way for our country.

I recently visited Vietnam, and came back with a completely different view of the war despite loosing many of my family members to it. The Vietnamese have predominantly forgotten about the war, despite loosing millions of lives to it. I was hard pressed to find anyone who would even bring it up in conversation despite being an American wandering the streest of Hanoi. If the Vietnamese can move on, I believe we can too.

Rather than Veterans spitting back, those who spat on Vietnam Veterans should apologize for being lesser of a human being. We should NEVER forget what our veterans did, and thank them for their bravery.

The same old lie over and over again. Let's see some proof with sources but as always they never show up because it didn't happen. The only people disrespecting the vets are people like yourself who hide behind them and use these fabrications to spread your hate because you don't have the guts to wear a uniform and fight for your country. People protesting any war are protesting the administrations policies not the soldiers. Can you drill that into your rock head? Politicians will never learn and they try to fight the war instead of letting the military do what they are trained for. God forbid you take the time and try to become informed and help this country become a better place. I guess it's easier to parrot your uninformed sources and just keep dragging this country through the mud.

Vietnam veterans for the most part were not spit on.

They were ignored and not given the respect they earned on the battlefields of Vietnam from many people in society at the time.

WW2 vets, the so-called greatest generation, were extremely harsh in their criticism of the men who fought in 'Nam.

I know. Some of my uncles were very critical of the soldiers returning from Southeast Asia.
