A little poem we were taught in England as children...
30 days has september,
april june and november,
all the rest have 31 clear.
Accept for february with 28 or 29 on a leap year..
I still use this poem when I need to know...
So August has 31 days!
I hope it helps

In the calendar used by virtually all countries in the Western World, there are 30 days in
April
June
September
November
There are 31 days in
January
March
May
July
August
October
December
And, there are 28 days in February, except for a leap year (a year in which last two digits are evenly divided by four -- 2008: 8 is evenly divisible by four). During a leap year, February has 29 days.
I hope that this helps you to understand the calendar that we use in America.
