Depends on miles, if they were all the same I would put the subaru and nissan at the top of the list, the alero and grand am at the bottom. The sunfire and convertable are cute so I might pick them too.

2001 Nissan Sentra

Nissans last forever and are great performance cars. I think Chevys and Chryslers suck, I would't drive a Pontiac if you paid me, Mazda is ok, but not as reliable as Nissan. I have heard the Subaru is great, but I think it looks like crap, never buy a Suzuki. They don't even make Oldsmobiles anymore, so don't go that direction unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for parts. Toyotas rock, in fact I drive a Camry...but most people that have ever driven a Nissan are completely in love with them.

Good Luck, make sure to check the Kelly Blue Book for the going dealer trade price before you go to purchase (if you live in the US)

None of those american made cars are worth even looking at. The sebrings, cavaliers, sunfires, grand ams and aleros were all HORRIBLE cars.

personally i would go for either the protege, forrester or sentra.

The correct answer is Mazda 3 though. Best car in class. Highly recommended.

I'd place the Subaru at #1, and Nissan Sentra towards the bottom.

Subarus are more pricey, but I think they're definitely a good car, worth the investment.

I used to own the Nissan Sentra, and let me tell ya, it was a nightmare. One time I broke down on the far left lane on the freeway with 4 other passengers in my car ... a frightening incident indeed.

The Alero should hold up and isn't that expensive for repairs. I looked at some Cavalier Z24's and my mechanic husband said they are expensive to repair.

Nissan Sentra is the only one I would even consider driving from that list.
