Steven Gerrard as he's going to lead Liverpool to win the Premiership this year!

Seeing the season has not started I suppose I will have to go on what the Football Player I am going to choose played like last season, Well in my opinion the Best Player in the Premiership is with out a doubt STEVEN GERRARD, who joined Liverpool as a schoolboy in 1989 aged 9 years old, he made his debut in 1998 aged 18, coming on for the second half in a match against Blackburn which finished with score at 0 - 0. Steven scored his first Goal for Liverpool on the 5th December 1999 aged 19 years old. Last season 2005/2006 Stevie played 32 games in the Premiership, 6 games in the F.A.Cup, 1 in the League Cup, 12 in Europe, & 2 in the other section which is 53 games of Football he played last year. And he scored 10 goals in the Premiership, 4 in the F.A.Cup,1 in the League Cup, 7 in Europe, & 1 in the other section which makes 23 Goal`s scored last season. So these details decided it for me, I have picked the right Footballer, who I hope will be our New ENGLISH CAPTAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steven Gerrard (born 30 May 1980, Whiston, Merseyside) is an English football player with Liverpool F.C.. Gerrard wears the number 8 shirt for Liverpool and is currently the club captain. He is usually employed in a central midfield role, although he has often been deployed as a right-sided midfielder during the 2005–2006 season and occasionally he has played as a right back or striker. He is noted for his powerful running, fierce shooting and general inspirational drive at the heart of the Liverpool team.

It hasn't started yet, but hopefully Shevchenko will settle into the premiership well, and theres Ballack of course. On last years performance, John Terry is the one for me. And begrudgingly I have to say Steven Gerrard
