it's been a long day I been teaching all day All my students are respectful and kind then this one irritating ten year old boy called you monkey , American monkey, the parents was there with him, he's a korean boy, I let his rudeness pass for about a week. maybe i got irritated because I was already tired. This kid is naughty in all of my students and he's parents just let him be. I don't know if his parents teach him proper manners but he's getting into my nerves. One of my co-teachers said I throw him out of the window. That would be nice but I just remember I'm a teacher. Of course I complained with my supervisor
he said he'll check it out.

If his mom would ever listen she keeps changing the time of our class, so some of my students complained a lot. his mom can speak english but she keep talking to me in korean pretending she can't speak english
And his dad thinks its funny. Oh well I'm just blowing some steam out of system. anyway he is the only one like that. I guess it's the spice of life

The monkey part is funny, but it is clear this boy is being a bit of a racist. We all know that kind of behavior starts at home. If the principal won't help you, tell the parents that from now on, if he calls you that you will call him the "Racist Brat" and see how much English they understand then.
Why are parents not more concerned about their children's behavior. This is the same kind of parent who will act surprised when this kid turns into a teenager and ends up in a gang.
Good luck, and hang tough. This country needs more teachers who care like you.

The act of the boy, can be forgiven, but not that of the parents, since you said he did this in their presence. There is no point in barking back at them, for that would prove the boy right. You have done the right thing, in reporting the matter to the appropriate authorities. The parents may come round to you, if the authorities pursue the matter seriously. You may keep tab of the action being taken by them. If nothing comes out of it, or they do not take any further action, you need to take up the matter with still higher authorities. It is not that you are vindictive. They should know that the boy's behaviour requires correction.

I'll be proud! Atleast he respected you as an american. Monkeys are very intelligent creatures. Maybe you had some cool monkey qualities. I, personally would love being called an American/Filipino Bald Eagle!

I would consider his age and laugh it off! Words hurt I know! Take it like a grain of salt. When people call names or put others down in public they are the ones who are hurting. They want the public eye off of them so they try to destroy someone else!
Don't let this bother you!

I'd feel annoyed and make him know it was wrong of him to do call people in such a way most esp let hi parents know they should know how to discipline their kid
