We don't use a dryer and after spinning them, we leave it to air dry for a day or two. We've never really had a problem except that recently, they don't seem to dry properly! There is good sunshine and wind but even if the clothes are fully-dry, they have a certain odor to it that doesn't smell too good. This happens to practically ALL of our clothes after washing and spinning them. We even put some diluted Downy into the steam iron and spray so the scent sticks...but it never does...and on a hot day, it almost always get worse! Please, HELP!

as soon as the wash is done hang the clothes to dry,if left in washer to long it will cause a moldy smell, and hanging the clothes out side shouldn't cause a odor unless the air stinks..but you will need to wash your clothes again,if you use cheap laundry products this will also make your clothes not so fresh smelling..I use arm and hammer,Downy fabreeze, pinsole and bleach and sometimes a whiting product other then bleach, these are not exspensive products if you use coupons..coupons can save a fortune...so if you use coupons these products can be as cheap as the cheap stuff...

Get some Febreeze odor reducer that is meant for fabrics and use that on them. I have found that it helps to reduce some odors. Also, you need to find out what is causing that odor. Maybe the clothes aren't getting completely clean or the laundry detergent you are using is causing the problem.

2 days is to long. Find a better ventilated place and the odor should not be a problem.

If you are drying outdoors, what has changed? Do you ahve animals visiting your yard? Some plants maycause the smell as well.

Did you mix very dirty clothes to wash with the rest of the clothes when washing? You should soak clothes which has a lot of sweat (worn for sports, trekking, beach) for at least a few hours in soap. Then rinse it clean before you mix it with the rest of the clothes.

Check your washing machine - may be the In-let needs to be cleaned -

Once you clean that the wash becomes very clean- any servcing guy can help you.

May be accumulated dirt over a period of time creates this odour.
