Hi Jeena, It actually depends on person to person. It is sure a cheating as your mind and thoughts are with somebody else, Though its not a physical cheating. Our thoughts make us what we are if they are not with your partner it is sure cheating.
However many a people are OK with it now a days and don't consider it that serious. Pls do speak with your partner before he finds it out. That could be serious.

Uh, yeah! At least I think so. If you've made a committment to your partner that you will not be involved with anyone else, whether it's a net romance or an in the flesh romance, you're still cheating

Ask yourself this question, and be honest.
Would you be upset if he/she did it to you?
If your mind is involved in a net relationship, the body will soon follow. It's inevidible. Unfortunately. Even if you don't meet that particular person, it will lead to thoughts of other people in general. One way or another, putting yourself in that situation can be the beginning of a string of misconduct.

If you are attracted to another person and are acting upon it, be it in real life or online, it could be considered cheating.

Honey, if it gets you 'off' go ahead and have your fun.

I guess it depends on your feelings. But probably not - we all need some breathing room.
