Well the press always go to 'eat' people when they find out any little bit of news and then it is ten times exaggerated, then the people tend to love a great big piece of gossip- even though it may have never have been nothing in the first place-but what happen in a moment of madness under the influence of drink was perhaps a lesson in life for Gibson and a wake up call for him to get things into order. It takes hard times to shake one- to realize it's time to do something. His drinking problem is an effect of what comes with being famous. Although everyone loves money, one has to remember to rule the money and not let it be the other way around. He apologized so what more can he do now. He shouldn't have to be bounded by things to prove he is sorry. He said it, that's enough. The press, neither the people own him. he should looked at the bright side, that it is a wake up call that nothing MORE serious has happened. My brother was hit by a hit and run driver who was drunk- he never got caught- my brother was injured but survived, thank God.

Well, it's difficult to say. I'm from New Mexico, where drunk drivers kill more people than almost anything else in the state. Even Mel's misdemeanor offense could have been a serious tragedy had he run into anybody. There is no excuse for driving intoxicated, especially after having been offered numerous rides.

As for his anti-semitic comments, I tend to think he really didn't mean them. But why they came out of his mouth in the first place is a different story. I don't think, however, that we should boycott Mel's movies or anything silly like that. He is human, and he has faults like the rest of us.

Would they bother to let out what you or I say to a cop? No....... Not fair to Mel Gibson that they did. People say stupid things when sober let alone drunk.
