Like it trully sucked, especially since none of the entertaining teams made it through, but was it the worst ever? Has there been a more lame WC?

what is this maybe your second WC you have seen. I've seen allot since 1978, 82, 86, 90, 94, 98, 02,and 06 and the worst one of all them would have to be WC 1994 USA, there was to much hype and it didn't really get to me. i was only 4 in 1974 so i didn't count that one cause i was a little to young.

lamest ??? no way!!!
lots of people say that this WC was pure luck right from the begining. I guess people keep saying that jsut because the good teams didnt come much forward. But what the hell? When are the other teams going to come forward? I think this WC didnt turn out as expected but it was not lame.
although i wasnt very happy that my fav tram germany didnt get into the finals i was glad the WC didnt turn out to be the thing people expected it to be initially. it nice to have sudden surprises in sport and this WC was purely entertaining in that way. How many people expected italy to win???
I guess people may call the WC lame because their favourite team ddint win (its natural for people to act that way) but everyone has a right to their opinion right?

It wasn't the most exciting WC I've seen so far, but then again, I am not that old so I can't say. I must say though from the last two that I've seen (1998 and 2002) it was much more exciting than this year.

Zidane played a great game, and Materrazi is a sore loser.

Brazil definately disapppointed me this year, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho barely did anything from my point of view. I must say the most entertaining team really was the Portugal. They got the charisma.

Did you watch the world cup in 2002? After France 1998 they (FIFA) did all they could to make sure Brazil won or at least made it to the finals.... Because most people who watch the World Cup expect Brazil to win no matter how bad the team plays.
Ask Rivaldo about it, he'll tell you....
I barely watched any world cup match after Brazil - Turkey in 2002 though with this World Cup many matches in the first round were very entertaining (Netherlands - Cote d'Ivoire for ex.)

yea it did suck, the worst i've ever seen, but only because Brazil nor Portugal nor Argentina made it to the finals. that bumbed me out.

how can they all let me down!!!

the highlight of course was Germany lost to Italy and then again France lost to Italy.

Italy rocks. hate Germany! hate France!

Love the game!!

by the way HABITANT - i've been lovin the game sine i was 6 years old. 1994 was one of the best WC. i lived in Canada then, but it was cool. loved Baggio!!!
To this day, the total attendance for the final tournament of nearly 3.6 million remains the greatest in World Cup history, despite the expansion of the competition to 32 teams in 1998. The overall attendance record will not be broken until at least 2010.

and Brazil Won, who could ask for any thing more, both my fav teams made it to the finals and Brazil won!!!

I've watched ever world cup since 1982 and no this world cup was not the lamest.......94 was pathetic and you had Brazil in the final.......what Zidane did also was unique.......never seen an animal like that in all my years watching the world cup......I guess the frenchmen will say he's the only player ever to get insulted in the history of the world cup!!lol

only 90 was worse. After the group stages ended, a lot of coaches started to use cowardly tactics, and there wasn't enough attacking football....too many penalty shootouts. Who knew that the first game of the World Cup would turn out to be the best?
