Did the different etch a sketch designs on Joey's door have any bearing on the particular plot?

Every show had a differen etch-a-sketch design on it. I just wondered if they had any particular meaning.

They were kind of random, but I do remember after 9/11, there was a drawing of the twin towers.

Not really. The only one that I remember having anything to do with the plot was the one where chandler writes him part of a message about an audition and Joey misses it

No. one of the set guys would draw something different each week, But usually didnt base it on anything.
