many people like everybody loves raymond. but why? i admit its a good show. but how can it ever be better than a tv show which redefined TV history. Seinfeld was so original, so great so monumental and most of all so funny. not to mention the plots were genius. raymond is good, but why do some still try to hold a match to Seinfeld?

I honestly can't choose between the two because I love them both. Seinfeld was a groundbreaking and genius show. Everybody Loves Raymond is hilarious, and I can definitely relate to many of its family-oriented topics. I think the characters on ELR are just so real, and that's why so many people connected with the show. It's harder for, say some random guy in Nebraska to connect to the Seinfeld program and topics.
But like I said, I love them both. It's apples and oranges. Let's just love them both, k?

I admit Seinfeld is a funny show but it doesn't make me crack up as much as Everybody loves Raymond does. Raymond, Robert, Marie and Frank are all funny and adorable..
I don't watch Seinfeld anymore because I find Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander unattractive and super annoying.

I honestly don't know. I never did like Everybody Loves Raymond. I loved Seinfield, however!

i like both shows. i like elaine and jerry and sometimes kramer. but i like robert and deborah and sometimes raymond.
sometimes i despise marie because she can be a real b**** to deborah and robert.
