I really need to get a new job

I've hired and not hired a lot of people over 40+ years of work, the last 25 as a supervisor in various different organizations.

My rules for resumes - how I choose who I will actually interview:

No puffery (reflects modesty, forthrightness, honesty, potential cooperativeness rather than competitiveness)
only one page (I don't even read those that are longer; just throw them away)
lots of white space (demonstrates clarity, organization and self-discipline)

I am not an expert but I think am good enough. I have been studying the field for the last 3 years to be confident enough to start my own firm career firm next month.
