The best online game I have ever played is eve online. It is a space flight type game. The graphics are incredible. The plot of it is magnificant. Also there are alot of people who play and lots of player vs player action. You can do serveral things on the game the traditional player vs player. Or you could merely destroy the non player controled ships. You can build an empire. Manufacture things and Mine for the materials. To farther your empire. The longer you play the game the stronger you become. You are also given many options and can actually mold your character's appearance to your likeness. The rest you can learn by playing it but it is a great but adicting game.

i play counter strike: source and world of warcraft. both are excelent games. css is great because there are many mods and there are many different levels of experience with dedicated servers. the only downfall is there are many hackers so you have to find a good server with admins who ban them. world of warcraft is really fun especially if you have friends to level with. the only downside is there is a monthly fee. it is definately worth a try though cuz the first month is free.

I really enjoy toontown :]
It may be disney, and some 7 year olds play it, but its still VERY addicting and VERY fun.
I've spent almost my entire summer playing it.
And I don't think it was a waste at all.

runescape is the best game ever! me and almost every1 in my school plays it cuz u get to kill stuff and get ur lvl up . u can private chat wit friends and buy and sell stuff
