to put it simply, no. the scorpio will chew the virgo to shreds and make the virgo feel insecure. you are taking a high-minded idealist and putting them in the ring with an instinctual and irreverent primal creature. the disparity is so great between the two outlooks on life that it is not likely to be an enduring partnership. both signs become resentful of the other because they are both extremely attached to their viewpoints on life and how "things are supposed to be". there is little hope for compromise between these two. instead, they dig their ideological trenches and hope to change the other's perspective-unsuccessfully, and with much resentment.

However, the light at the end of the tunnel in all of this is to check and see if the rising and moon signs are compatible. If so, then it may not necessarily be a lost cause and some cooperation between the two may be possible.

That's so funny alot of your answers. I am a virgo with a rising sign of scorpio. I am a pistol. Yes, you have a chance. Just watch out for that stinger, it comes smacking you hardcore. My daughter in law is a scorpio and I am already anticipating the stinger, but I know she's beautiful and my son loves her. He's got a butting attitude with those ram horns of his own. He's an aries. You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.

What aspects do your Sun, Moon and Ascendent make?

The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.
The 7th house rules partnerships.
The 8th house rules sexuality.

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.

Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.

The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. It's not simple to a layperson, but it is to people who are educated in Astrology terminology.

Star Sign compatibilities do not accurately predict success in a relationship or otherwise.

Some people don't believe in them and get on quite well with opposing star signs.
