hahah...that's funny. My dad gave my brother the same advice...... anyway i'll give it from me, a girl's view, on what I think. Girls like a challenge....a girl won't like someone who just throws themselves at her. However, acting completely cold will tell the girl that you have no interest in her what-so-ever. Girls tend to read to much into body language such as, if you're not talking, she atomatically assumes somethings wrong, or if your just chilling, she assumes that you don't want her around at the moment.(believe me! My boyfriend of two years and I have had sooooo many arguments over this) If you really like a girl then the best advice I can give you is be straight forward for her. Go up to her, and say, "so and so, I think that you are really nice and cool to hang out with. I was wondering if maybe you'd be interested in going out to eat this weekend" or something like that. If you get nervous about telling her don't worry. If she doesn't want to go out with you she'll say no, if she does, she'll say yes. If she doesn't...move on. Its not that big of a deal. We as people always play to much into things, and then end up being greatly dissapointed. Just be yourself, be honest, and have fun.

ur dad is wrong. i like when a guy cares about me. my friend dumped her ex b/f cuz he acted like he didn't care about her or what she said. however my other friend dumped a guy for being too clingy. stick w/ ur instinct.
