I want to know something. We have all these stupid as* democrates who are blaming Bush for the high gas prices but the thing is he has a way lower them big time! But yes we might destory the eviroment up there but it will help lower gas prices big time. And yes there are also Hybrds(sp?) but I am preety sure not every American can each afford a good hybrd(sp?) Other wise I am preety sure there is no other way to lower gas prices. So democrates, why are ypu blaming Bush for no reason?

Democrats have a plan...*That is to keep the average citizen as poor as possible*. If you think rocks and year round frozen tundra are pristine you'll love that 1000 th_ of ANWAR where the oil is! In the '70's Alaska drilled wells and built a pipeline for oil, NO major oil spills! As to the wild life, the warmth of the pipeline caused grass to grow and Caribou to flourish to the point where their hunting season and harvest limit had to be raised by 10 times to keep from overpopulation. America benefited, Alaska benefited...wild life benefited, and the democrats want none of that!
*Democrats think that they are GOD, they love poor people So Much they do all in their power to make as many Americans poor as they possibly can!*

The first problem is that Alaska (as far as we know) doesn't have as much oil as the Middle East (that's why a lot of wells went dry in Texas).

The second is that why use up our small supply now, when we can simply use the oil in the Middle east first?

The third is that environmentalists will start screaming off the top of their lungs about how oil drilling in Alaska = bad (although they dont make any viable suggestions or alternatives to fuel, so their crying isn't really amounting to much).

Have you seen or heard of any Democrate suggesting we take all the taxes off oil products ?
No they want to raise taxes on oil companies , which will raise prices at the pump .
It's estimated that Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico have 100 years worth of oil.

uhhhh....excuse me....rehberg04...but i dont kno if u have realized this....but alaska holds most of the USA'S natural beauty if u havent noticed...just look at the future...if bush wins the court case(which he wont) to drill for oil in the NAWR (national artic wildlife refuge) or anywhere in alaska...there are goin 2 be oil spills...animals will lose there habitat because of the oil spills, the paved road, houses for the workers and more....and since animals will lose there habitat, they might travel to populated cities, or they could become extinct and then it could totally screw up the food chain....and even if he wins....hes not goin to find much oil anyway...theres not enough oil to fill every car in alabama....then we would go through alllllllll of that trouble, extinction and work for NOTHING!....and if u want to kno y gas prices are so0o0o high...its all the "presidents" fault....he is using a special gas which has corn oil and some other stuff that wasnt in there before gas prices werent $3.00 a gallon...and because its being shipped by train instead of boat or wat ever....sooo rehberg04 , there is a reason to blame bush...

After all the oil in the Middle East and other plaes run out, the US will have Alaska and all the other countries will have nothing..Why use it now when you can save it for when the price is $20 a gallon?

I live and work in the oilfield, and trust me, the environment is not destroyed here. Yeah, there are alot of roads that have to be made, but to say it would destroy the environment in Alaska is just more scare tactics by the liberals and enviromentalist.
