I think i would be embarrased to voice that kind of complaint. I imagine it was in a voice like lumberg on office space. "ummm... yeah... last night i was over here not getting any and you were and the noise was too loud, so, um, yeah, if you could keep it down that would be great....". anydangway, almost anything that makes the walls thicker also helps with sound absorbtion. also fabric helps absorb sound too. if you hang up a few tapestries or something it would probably reduce the noise.

Stick a pillow in your mouth, and try doing it on the floor...the bed noise probably bothers them just as much as your screaming. The egg crate thing will probably work too, but chances are it won't help much. Try to be more quiet and get a hotel room once in a while to get loud in. Maybe you could incorperate a "gag" into your routine if it doesn't freak you out too much.
Thats hilarious Clyde.

Apartment walls are made very thin these days. Put up sound absorbing tile on the ceiling. Hang thick carpeting on all the surfaces of your bedroom. Also thick carpeting on the floor and on the door (both sides).
I am not joking it works although it could be a bit expensive.
It's worth it.Bonking is wonderful. Have a great time.
Dan.

You go guys! Be proud, frame the complaint! =]
I don't know about soundproofing the room but a clean sock held in the mouth will cut down on a lot of the noise - until you can afford a place of your own....

Very cheap: glue empty egg cartons to the ceiling. Their shape is the same as the conic stuff they put up in recording studios. It will deflect some of the sound. This is assuming that the person who lives above you complained, of course.

get a "sound machine" - about the size of of large can - makes abackground noise (white noise); put against wall to people making complaint
on that same "problem" wall, hang a blanket about 1" away from wall and if you do not have carpet on floor, get some.
these all help "trap" sound.
good luck,
been there,
J

anything with a rough texture will help with the muffling of the noise. Smooth texture will allow noise to travel on through.

How about asking about loud music instead? What's this with all the details? Try corkboard! It helped ME keep out of trouble with my father when I was listening to my stereo in my room.
