Well I've met some of the main characters on Lost (Kate, Jack, Sawyer, Charlie, and Claire), the band members of Train, Samuel L. Jackson, and sadly another jackson....Michael Jackson. But I wish that I could meet the cast of Smallville.

I used to work in a record shop so I got to serve famous people: I have met Joan Collins (twice), 2 Unlimited, David Baddiel and Rob Newman, Big Fun, The Farm, the bass player from Dogs D'Amour (he was using the same launderette), Ella Fitzgerald, Anna Ford, Humphrey Lyttleton, Rory McGrath, Jessica Martin, Richard Branson, Lenny Henry and Sylvester McCoy. Additionally, when I went to a lot of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, I met the composers Elliott Carter, Pierre Boulez, Witold Lutoslawski and Peter Maxwell Davies. These are people that I have actually spoken to as well as seen.

OK, my list is very boring but
My sister's bridesmaid was Gregor Fisher's sister (Rab C Nisbitt). I was at the same school as Gary McAllister (ex Scotland captain) and Tam Cowan, I've bumped in to Ian MacDiarmid (Star Wars) as he lives in my village, I've rubbed shoulders with Nick Nairn and Gary something or other (orange dj), I've kissed Doogie Donnelly, been at a party with Nicky Campbell, etc, etc
Oh and been chatted up by some of the Aberdeen footie players in a bar
Nothing glamorous there then!

When working in Dixons a couple of years ago I tried to sell a TV to an actor and actress who are in Casualty! The characters were Comfort and the doctor who was taking drugs and died on his way to his wedding with Lara Stone. Also Casualty filmed at my school so I saw "Josh"!
I have met Warren Mitchell and Robert Hardy too, oh and Floella Benjamin on a cross channel ferry!

I have met and been on television with David Bellamy. I have bumped into the footballers Juninho and Emerson whilst shopping in Middlesbrough. I have met Ant and Dec when they still starred in Byker Grove because Ant was dating Nicola Bell... another girl from Byker Grove... who was in my class at school. Take That played a concert at my school before they were famous. Various writers have attended readings at my local library though mostly children's authors. I have met Magnus Magnusson when he came to my town's festival last year and also two of the chefs from Ready Steady Cook, one of which got a ticket for having an out of date tax disc... he was not amused! and, though I did not meet him because I am far too young, I had the same music teacher as Bryan Ferry from Roxy Music.

I shared the make-up room with Spike Milligan when I appeared on Harry Secombe's 'Highway';he was an extremely funny man who kept us all amused. I also shared a microphone with Sir Harry himself in a tiny recording room-he was also great to meet. At the end of the evening I shared a taxi with Isla St.Clair-remember her? (Larry Grayson's generation game..yuk!) Spike was the most rememberable-15 minutes worth of the show could not be broadcast because Spike was too risque!

I used to go to NY every couple of weeks and met loads of famous people in the BA 1st Class Lounge at Heathrow Terminal 4, especially when Concorde used to fly and it was also the lounge for that. But my favourite was when I had a beer with David Bowie.

Jimmy Percy of Sham 69 tried to pick me up in a shop in Kingston (UK) around 1980. I used to live in the same street as a lovely actress called Georgina Hale (I think) and we chatted in the tube station a couple of times. Met Peter Bowles (To The Manor Born) in a theatre - he was very pleasant. My greatest moment was when Neil Young sang a song to me live on stage - well he probably didn't but he was lookin' right at me and I like to think I was noticed!
