i remeber seeing and interview on 20/20 or 60minutes a long time ago about Alan Alda coming out of the closet. does anybody out there know this to be true or better yet have a link to a site that addresses this question? i know it sounds petty or juvenile, but it is kind of important.

Why does it matter? He's a great actor, and it does sound petty AND juvenile. It's not that important, doll. There are plenty of other things going on in the world beside wondering if Alan Alda is gay or not. If you really want to know, Richard Chamberlain IS gay and so is George Takei (Mr. Sulu).

He did a movie called .. "And the Band played on" it was about AIDS.. he played a DR. that wanted all the credit.. I think it was speculated around that time that he was 'Gay" cause he did an AIDS movie.. I don't know if it is true or not but I don't think it is

nope he's not gay..he's married to arlene alda and they have three kids..he has been married since 1957

if he is then he must be bi-sexual or something cause i know he was married for a long time~~and has kids~~(I think a lot of the movies he was in were kind of gay, does that count?
