I think that movie is brilliant...I don't think I've ever watched anything like it...throughout the movie, i couldn't figure out if V was the evil one or the government? Was V just someone a brainwasher out to seek revenge from those who hurt him? Was his theories really good for London? I was so shocked when Evey came out of the "jail cellar" and walked into V's house....I couldn't believe that happened.....it was so unexpected...the entire time she was in there, I hoped that V would come rescue her or at least see what she was doing so V could see her loyalty to him....i got my wish, but not the way I expected it....The scenes of the flashbacks of what happened in Larkwood was absolutely horrible and reminded me partially of the holocaust....what i don't understand was how V was able to do all those things to Evey without Evey knowing it was him...didn't Evey see the person balding her or dragging her back to the cell? what were your thoughts on it?

Good movie but you need to watch it again. It was a little like the holocaust in the experimentation part.

What you seeme to have missed was V's using of a ski mask and of a blind fold at times with Evie.

it was actually a scene similar to many stories, The Marquis de Sade left notes in the walls of his cell, Anne Frank left her diary in the attic, and so on. I think they wanted you to think about the first one. You should have noticed a French feel to the story.

As for your surprise, you should have paid atention to the bricks. They were the same as V's place.

It's a great movie
First , I don't think V is a hero, and I think he and the goverment are both evil.
V is just having a revenge . He is not fighting for justice.
His theories helped London. But not much.
Ya I didn't expect Evey came out from V's house too, it was so surprising. I think it should be like...V saved her fro he Jail too...coz I couldn't imagine that V treated her in that way...But I don't understand why the man who drag her back the cell isn't wearing mask...so it was not V...so who was it ?!!
I was just confused . Ha

I just watched that movie yesterday, i thought it was great. The Wachowski Brothers really surprised me. It is hard to believe that they went from the matrix to this. The second and third matrix had some great action but they really couldn't match the first one. They showed that they can do more than just revolutionize the action genre (which they did do). You could tell that it was a Wachowski film though especially with some of the things that V said, I could of swore I watching another matrix film with the way he talked. Natalie Portman is sexy as hell and this has got to be the best film she has done since The Professional. And Hugo Weaving was one of the best bad guys ever when he played Mr. Smith, and that is probably why the brothers brought him into this project. I really like the film, and when the high chancellor was standing on that podium preaching to the crowd with the troops marching by, didn't that remind you a lot like Hitler. Actually their whole country looked and felt a lot like Germany probably did in WWII. I thought that was really interesting.

ya there were a couple things i didn't get. like how did she go unnoticed all that time after she left V? and did she really keep her head shaved for a year as a sign of protest? wouldn't she have been picked up right away?

and now to answer your questions. i think V used lots of disguises to hide who he was. plus he hid in shadows mostly if you watch it, the person interrogating her is always in shadows. plus there is never more than one person with her at all times of that torture. the interrogator leaves and someone comes in a takes her away. and then i think since she was pretty shocked and traumatized throughout the ordeal, i don't think she would've registered much of what was going on around her.

it was an amazing film. i'm very glad i watched it. i was not expecting much or motivated to see it. but that is usually when i see the best movies. i love how its not a hollywood story and doesn't have a happy or sad ending. it just ends. justice is served. or is? yes V was a hero but also the villian a product of the government that created him. he was a monster no matter what his ideas were. That's what makes the story amazing; because the hero is never a hunderd percent pure and noble. He is infalliable and in the end its not about him, but what he is fighting for.

I love the twist on terroist they used here throughout the film. It really makes you reasses this term and define it for yourself. One person's terroist is another's freedom fighter.

***V FOR VENDETTA Spoilers***

Evey couldn't see who was holding her captive and he changed his voice when conversing with her. When she was being questioned, he put bright lights next to him to partially blind her. She was facing away from the person shaving her head. And she obviously could just see the hand of the person throwing food into her cell (and he wore gloves to disguise the burns).

Anyways, a very good movie. Interesting, exciting, and kind of creepy. I enjoyed it and bought the DVD.
